Performance Standards of Section F, Australian Standards and State WHS Laws dictate that vehicle and/or trailer loads must be secured and restrained. These laws reduce the risks and hazards to other road users, bystanders, passengers, vehicle drivers and road infrastructure.
A PCBU and/or driver must ensure that the load:
- Is adequately restrained.
- Does not overhang dangerously.
- Does not exceed mass limits.
- Does not cover the vehicle or trailer's lights, indicators, reflectors and/or the number plate.
As regular ropes are now banned for load transport in many Australian States and Territories, it is important to purchase high quality and specially designed rope for transport purposes. Bronson Safety's range of ropes and tie-downs are compliant with Australian Standard AS 4142-1993.
